Remembering the past 100 years while looking forward to the next
After 100 years on the campus of Oklahoma State University, the Epsilon Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Nu was ready to create a new home to support the future legacy of this chapter. The new chapter house pays tribute to the past 100 years while looking forward to the next; keeping traditions alive while creating modern spaces for future generations. The exterior design language reflects the previous home while the interiors have been upgraded to accommodate the needs of students today. Complete with 98 beds, a large study hall, a library, and community space, the home is designed to encourage academic achievement, foster the development of lifelong friendships, and facilitate personal growth.
KSQ Design provided the fundraising package, planning, programming, architecture, and interior design for the project. The project was completed in April 2023.
Context is Everything
The Sigma Nu house at Oklahoma State University sits on a corner lot across from the campus' library lawn. For the past 100 years, the fraternity has been a symbol of the greek community on the campus and an icon of tutor architecture to the city. During the planning phase for the rebuild, our team repositioned the house to further emphasize its identity. By moving the parking lot to the West, the house's main living room aligns directly with the campus' library lawn.
