Firm History
KSQ Design began in 1988 as Lotti Krishan Architects Inc., founded by John Lotti and Garret Krishan to provide design services for a large firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma with multiple national clients. The firm went on to win design work independently, eventually recruiting David Short as Principal in 1993.
David brought both marketing savvy as well as student housing experience from his previous work in New York for EYP Architecture & Engineering. The firm became known as Lotti, Krishan & Short (LKS) and David was instrumental in growing the firm’s higher education portfolio.
During his time in New York, David became friends with a young architect named Armand Quadrini who was now a principal with Perkins Eastman in Manhattan. In 2004, David recruited Armand to open an office for LKS specializing in K-12 school design. At this time, John Lotti chose to retire and the firm became known as Krishan, Short, Quadrini Architects (KSQ).
In 2016, the firm changed its name to KSQ Design to reflect the full range of integrated design services offered. Today KSQ continues to establish itself as a national leader in student housing architecture and regionally as experts in K-12 schools, multifamily and healthcare design.
