Hendrick Hudson Middle School Theatre

A new design takes center stage.

For many years the Arts Department at Blue Mountain Middle School has ignited a spark for students to grow their talents and abilities in music, theatre, and art. However, as the Art Department has continued the thrive its facilities have remained the same since 1967. With the passing of a bond referendum in 2011, the district is able to invest back into the program, rehabilitating several spaces that have been outdated and insufficient to serve the current student population.

The Auditorium received a full rehabilitation to meet the needs of a 21st Century music and art curriculum. From increasing capacity to making it acoustically sound, the auditorium enhances the arts program at Blue Mountain dramatically. The Music instructional space and instrument music area were enlarged to accommodate larger numbers of students involved in the program while the Arts classrooms received modest upgrades.
