KSQ NYC Now Open

Today we’re pleased to announce the opening of a new KSQ office in New York City. The new office is an overdue and welcome addition to KSQ’s collaborative network of national regional offices and supports our “one-firm” approach. KSQ NYC clients and partners will have full access to the firm’s national staff and thought leadership platform. Rachel Birnboim Kochman, AIA, LEED BD+C, will lead the office. Rachel, a senior associate and project manager, joined KSQ in 2005 and has served as studio director of KSQ’s White Plains, [caption id="attachment_3653" align="alignright" width="300"]Senior Associate Rachel Birnboim Kochman, AIA, LEED BD+C Senior Associate Rachel Birnboim Kochman, AIA, LEED BD+C[/caption] NY, office. She’s a specialist in New York City multifamily housing and in collegiate residence life work. A few projects Rachel has played a major role in include KSQ’s AIA award-winning Carnegie Learning Center at Kingston City School District and 360 Smith Street–a mixed-use development in the heart of Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn–and 16-14 Madison; an Essex Capital project in Ridgewood (the largest residential project currently underway in Queens). KSQ NYC is located at 900 Broadway, in the Goelet Building–a historic Flatiron District building designed by prominent Gilded Age architect Stanford White in the 1800s. “This is an exciting opportunity for us to connect more directly with current clients in Manhattan, to strengthen our work in the multi-family market, and to develop new relationships, all efforts intended to spread the spirit, mission statement and values of KSQ,” said Rachel. KSQ has opened three new offices in the past year. Thanks to client demand we have expanded to Charlotte, Charleston and now Manhattan. KSQ is currently renovating the historic Gates Hardware building in the Greenwood District of downtown Tulsa. Oklahoma staff is expected to move into the new space by the end of the year. It’s a tremendous time of growth for the firm, and we’re grateful for the new clients, new projects and new spaces. "We are extremely proud to be starting the NYC chapter of the ever-expanding KSQ story” said Rachel. “It is only through the sustained and passionate efforts of all KSQ employees over the course of the firm’s history that this important step has been made possible and we should all share in this significant achievement and sign of our continuing success. Our door is always open, so please come visit!”
