The Project

Providing the largest increase in Long Island Sound’s waterfront access in a generation is one of the primary goals behind the Echo Bay mixed-use development by Forest City Residential. Today’s City of New Rochelle Department of Public Works yard will be transformed into a public esplanade, five-acre park and mixed -use development featuring high-quality living, shopping and dining opportunities. Situated in the heart of downtown New Rochelle, this development will provide 25,000 square feet of retail space along Main Street with restaurants anchoring the corners and neighborhood retailers between them. Garden apartment living will be facilitated in a mix of 285 apartment- homes including studio, one or two- bedroom floor plans situated on the site to create a central interior courtyard to take advantage of sweeping Long Island Sound views. Amenities for residents include a club room, fitness center, “e” lounge, swimming pool and locker rooms.
