Benefits

KSQ offers competitive pay, profit sharing bonuses, a 401k Retirement Plan, paid time off, and holiday pay. Other benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSA plans (flexible spending accounts), short and long term disability, supplemental insurance–including critical illness and accident. To support professional development, KSQ offers training and continuing education opportunities and reimbursement of passed exam expenses.

Culture

KSQ is a 2015 Zweig White Best Firm to Work for and ranked on Architectural Record’s Top 300 Firms list. We pride ourselves on being a national firm that feels small; our staff works with other offices and share projects across the board from inception to completion. Not only do we love our business but we also put a high priority on liking the people we work with–it makes it feel less like work and more like fun. Whether it’s architectural scavenger hunts, field trips, or our Halloween Costume Contest Parade, we enjoy playing as hard as we work.

Community

KSQ’s Brand Ambassador program was recognized as an innovative industry effort by Building Design + Construction, and the program has resulted in staff involved (whether as a volunteer or on the board) in educational, civic, professional, health, literacy and sustainability programs and foundations. Besides being Partners In Education and ACE Mentors, we’ve also created original programs focused on giving back to K12 schools and promoting STEM education. KSQ RUNNERS have raised funds for charities across the country in half-marathons, and we’ve also helped Classroom Central, Habitat for Humanity, Toys for Tots, Reading Is Fundamental, and many more worthwhile efforts. Just like our mission states “We believe in the transformative power of community.”

Internships

KSQ internships provide exposure to many aspects of a design practice, and interns directly contribute to in-progress projects. Interns have a specific mentor but also work with project teams and have the opportunity to visit construction sites, attend project meetings and gain experience in a variety of areas. We offer paid internship opportunities in architecture, interior design, marketing, planning and engineering in all seven regional offices. Keep an eye on the Upcoming Events list in our News section and on our social media accounts for opportunities to meet us and share your portfolio at a career fair.
